Hi, I’m Richelle.

I’m a compassionate advocate for using embodiment practices to guide people on their path to reconnect with their innate possibilities and wellbeing. I approach my work through a body-oriented lens to support restoring the nervous system from the effects of trauma, chronic pain and stress, and help build one’s capacity to reclaim a more conscious and trusting relationship with their body.

My personal lived experiences include being raised by a single mom, lived below the poverty line, witness to domestic violence, parental addiction, the sudden death of both of my parents and a personal near death experience. I’ve suffered debilitating anxiety, depression, and grief and lived most of my life disconnected from my body. I turned to yoga, and other mind-body practices to support myself through the effects of my past. I feel extremely honoured that today, through my lived experiences, trainings and curiosities, I get to help people who are struggling with chronic pain, anxiety, depression, grief, breathing difficulties, concussions, and post-traumatic stress injuries (PTSD).

Along with working with clients 1:1, I am the Site Coordinator for the Squamish Pain Program while offering yoga therapy and co-facilitator of the chronic pain education and support group through Squamish Helping Hands Society and Pain BC. I am also a part of the teaching faculty for the Foundations of Yoga Therapy program at Vancouver School of Healing Arts and am in my Advance Year of becoming a Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner.

No matter what happens in our lives, may we find the paths that bring us back home to ourselves and each other.

I look forward to connecting more with you.
